Accounts Receivable Specialist

Here's What You'll Do:

 The primary duties of the Accounts Receivable Specialist include:

  • Initiate and pursue collection of past due invoices via collection calls and e-mails.

  • Explain the status of past due AR as part of weekly meetings with Vice Presidents, Principals, CFO and Collection Manager.

  • Prepare and review accounts receivable aging reports and manage accounts with overdue balances for assigned accounts.

  • Timely follow-up to collect on payments.

  • Conduct credit reviews to determine credit-worthiness of potential clients by analyzing financial data through D&B and other sources and provide summary of research to Management.

  • Research credits and incorrect cash application.

  • Document internal and external conversations timely in designated system.

  • Set-up new clients in designated system.

  • Process write-offs.

  • Work closely with the billing department to resolve billing issues.

  • Maintain relationships with existing clients while attempting to resolve collection issues.

  • Communication and interaction with Vice Presidents, Principals and Project

  • Other duties as requested.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Education: Associates Degree in Business or relevant experience.

Experience:

  • Experience in credit and collections.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, detail oriented, flexible, strong analytical and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, take directions and be able to work both independently and as a team member.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • MS Office Suite, Professional services industry and Deltek experience a plus.
