Contract Administrator

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (“CEC”) is looking for a Contract Administrator to join our corporate staff.  This position is full time and is located at our corporate headquarters office, near Pittsburgh, PA.  

Primary duties include:

- Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Vice President Corporate Counsel, our senior management group, and our operations team, which is currently located in 25 offices in 20 states.

- Evaluate subconsultant/subcontractor qualifications.

- Assist the various offices in securing project required subconsultant/subcontractors.
- Negotiation of subconsultant/subcontractor agreements to assure compliance with client agreements and associated insurance requirements.

- Develop prime agreement flow down provisions for subcontracts.

- Review insurance certificates to assure compliance with required client coverage types and amounts.
- Maintain regular communication with Project Managers, Principals and Vice Presidents that are involved with the client project.

- Provide assistance as requested for proposal and pricing submittals.
- Special projects as needed.

Here's What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred Business or Technical);
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Contract Administrator, Procurement, or similar position with a major company (engineering and consulting industry experience a plus);
• Strong knowledge and understanding of legal concepts and terminology and their application to various documents;
• Ability to successfully negotiate and process various agreements
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe, Excel and Outlook along with aptitude for learning internal systems and accounting system;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality;
• Ability to manage workload to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines;
