Environmental Inspection Manager

Here's What You'll Do:

As an Environmental, Erosion and Sediment (E&S) Control and Compliance Inspection Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants (CEC), you will oversee Environmental Inspectors (EI) on various natural gas development projects, including: well pad, pipeline and facilities construction. You will work directly with the client to meet project deliverables, staffing needs and regulatory compliance. Daily tasks include providing quality control/assurance of all daily field reports (DFRs) and E&S inspection reports, training of staff scientists to complete both E&S inspections and construction quality assurance (CQA) tasks, and manage project budgets. You will be responsible to troubleshoot, remediate, and provide guidance on environmental issues encountered in the field. In addition, you will assist in client development responsibilities. A strong knowledge of E&S control installation, maintenance and repairs along with general earthwork construction is required. Experience working on natural gas well pads and pipeline projects is preferred.

Field work will require working in inclement weather, on weekends and potentially holidays. The project areas are located in remote locations throughout PA, WV and OH.  This is a full time position, which will likely exceed 40 hours per week. 

Here's What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years of management experience;
  • Additional 3+ years of E&S control inspection or design experience;
  • Strong understanding of E&S Control Best Management Practices (BMPs)
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or appropriate experience;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 
  • Ability to work long hours outdoors under various field conditions;
  • Valid Driver's License. 
     
Here's What We'd Like To See:
  • BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of PA Title 25 Chapter 102, 105 and 78a regulations.
  • Experience working around heavy equipment and large scale construction operations.
  • Preference given to candidates who hold CPESC, CESSWI and/or Safeland certifications.
