As a FERC 7(c) New Certificate Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will be responsible for environmental studies and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) permitting/design of projects in the energy industry. Focus will be on linear liquid petroleum pipelines, storage facilities, and network enhancement; natural gas pipelines; electric transmission lines; and energy generation projects. Responsible for client account management, business development, staff management, and project delivery. As part of this position you will develop and direct the technical scope of each project, manage project budgets and schedules, serve as the primary client and regulatory agency point of contact, and manage both internal CEC staff and sub-consultants during the execution of the work. You will attend town hall meetings, public hearings, and present to the public, on behalf of CEC and our clients to fulfill the public outreach components of your projects. You will also be responsible for developing business for CEC through utilization of your existing network and internal CEC resources.

Here's What You'll Need:

  • 10+ years of experience in the environmental studies, permitting and design of pipeline or other energy infrastructure projects. A minimum of 5 years must include management responsibilities for these projects;

  • BS/MS degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biology/Ecology, Cultural Resources, or Environmental Science;

  • Demonstrated experience managing all phases of FERC 7(c) projects;

  • Established connections with natural gas and NGL midstream operators, electric transmission companies, contractors, and regulatory agencies;

  • Ability to speak and write professionally, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
